NEW YORK - Life is a TV show for Brody Jenner.
At 21, he sold a reality show to FOX. Now, at 25, he's a regular on "The Hills" and friends with its star, Lauren Conrad, while cameras follow his father, Olympic decathlon gold medalist Bruce Jenner, on "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
Brody Jenner currently stars in his own MTV show "Bromance," where a group of guys compete to be his new BFF.
Jenner recently talked about his TV life. He says he may be best known as a guy who gets filmed hanging out but it takes work to make that happen — and he has fun doing it.
AP: Are you really going to hang out with the winner of "Bromance"?
Jenner: Absolutely. It actually sucks because I can't hang out with him right now while the show is airing because then people will know who I picked.
AP: You're obviously a good looking guy. Some guys say that if they were as good looking as you, they wouldn't ever want to settle down. What do you say about that?
Jenner: Finding a relationship is a lot harder than in the past. People thinking they really know you is hard. They don't know me. They see me on television but do they really know me? No. Going and hooking up with girls and doing that whole thing is fine for a little while but I love something more genuine.
AP: Have you ever been rejected by a girl?
Jenner: Yeah! My girlfriend now totally rejected me but it was great. I love that.
AP: What do you say to those fans who are obsessed with the idea of you and Lauren Conrad getting together?
Jenner: People need to get over that. Lauren and I are just friends and I think it's good we're friends. I love her to death ... but we're just friends and that's how we'll keep it.
AP: And what's up with Spencer Pratt? (Jenner and Pratt had a falling out on "The Hills" over Conrad. Jenner and Conrad are friends; Pratt and Conrad dislike each other.)
Jenner: Me and Spencer are cool. We'll never be the kind of friends that we were but we are still friends. I still consider him a close friend. I'm not the kind of person that holds grudges, so I'll always keep a place in my heart for Spencer.
AP: For a reality show star, you don't seem to be into "drama."
Jenner: When I was 17 years old I got a DUI. It was probably the worst thing that's ever happened to me in my entire life but at the same time the best. ... I learned to be positive: Always try to find a way to spin the positive; celebrate while you're alive; don't hold grudges, have drama; smile and appreciate life.
AP: What's the biggest misconception about you?
Jenner: That I don't work. People say, "Oh, Brody is this guy who spends his parents money and he dates these famous girls." I've worked my butt off to get where I'm sitting.
AP: Do you read the blogs and the gossip magazines?
Jenner: Yeah. I go on it, I read it, I laugh.
AP: Does it get hard — you can't go to lunch without being photographed?
Jenner: Yes, there are times where it's uncomfortable. You don't feel like having it around but these people are just trying to make their money too. I can't sit here and say that's wrong. Actors, actresses, reality stars, they signed up for it.

With 5 bro's remaining, it's survival of the fittest and friendliest in the Bro-mansion. Brody calls the remaining contestants and tells them to get ready to go camping, which does not sit well with Brody's best bro Frankie (who is devastated by the fact that Brody will miss their standing Tuesday plans for watching The Soup). But before embarking on their trip, the boys must duke it out with Mario, the "Bad Ass Biker Dude," in a boxing ring. Luke body slams Mario and takes the win, which entitles him to a private dinner with Brody.
"The biker dude was just huge. I was really impressed with some of the guys for staying in the ring as long as they did. They definitely showed some courage," recalls Brody Jenner.
Brody begins the excursion by taking the contestants fishing. At the end of the day, the boys have to eat what they catch while Brody and Luke dine over wine and platters of lobster, steak, potatoes, and vegetables. After dinner, they join the others for campfire stories and then it's off to bed - but not for too long!
Frankie and Sleazy T drop by Brody's neck of the woods with a baby alligator to slip into the bro-tent. Once inside, the gator wreaks havoc on the boys - sending them out of the tent screaming. After everyone realizes it's a prank, they can all sleep easy for the big morning ahead.
The next morning, the boys wake up to chores surrounded by swarms of bees. After sifting through the stingers and cleaning up the campsite, the boys follow Brody to a life coach (A.K.A. "Dr. Hug-It-Out") in the woods who helps the guys get in touch with their feelings and work on trust issues in a series of therapeutic exercises.
"It was a lot of fun camping with the guys, I love to fish and it was great to get out of the city for a little bit. The guys really opened up which I thought was pretty cool too," Brody says.
Then it's back to civilization, where the boys will get cleaned up in a bikini bubble bath, but before bubbling up - Brody has to make his elimination. After clearing the boys one by one, it is down to Chris and Gary. Feeling that Gary has "a different life path," he sends the dance instructor home and heads to the tubs with Chris for a good scrub down.

Check out this bomb-ass Bromance review that was written on Videogum. I found it online when I was surfing the web yesterday. These critics are hard to please, but it looks like they really like the show and have some great insight into what its really all about. What do you think about the review?

I hope all of you were able to catch the 2nd episode of Bromance last night and enjoyed it. Keep those comments coming on what you guys are liking about the show and who you think is the most trustworthy contestant. A little input from the fans is always helpful.
So I told you all that I was in Vegas for New Years eve, and I have this totally awesome picture to share with you guys. This is a picture of me, my mom and Olympic champion Michael Phelps! He is such a great guy and it was so cool to get a picture with him. He even made a tall guy like me feel short. Totally an honor. Also, check out the pictures of me, Jayde, and George Maloof! My Chargers took another win this Sunday, beating out the Colts in overtime. Frankie and I were out in San Diego to catch the game, and as you can see - Frankie had his game face on, haha! Be sure to show some love for the Chargers next week as they will be taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and don't forget to send some of that love on over to my show, Bromance, which is airing its 2nd episode tonight on MTV. You know I'm pretty athletic, so tune in to see the contestants putting a little muscle into the competition on tonight's episode!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope you guys had a great end to 2008 and beginning for 2009. I did, man. I had such a blast in Vegas last night. The last few years New Years Eve has been so hectic, but not this one. It was really chill and I got to hang with my girl and some good friends. It was awesome not to have any obligations or parties to host this year... or should I say last year haha! Anyone have any REALLY crazy stories about last night they would like to share??
